Egytech Cables, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric, is extending the success story of its regional control center projects across Egypt by signing a new contract with The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company to establish the new Regional Control Center for the transmission network for Delta Zone (DRCC) Lot 2. The value of the project is EGP 193 million will be implemented over an 18-month period. The signing event was witnessed by, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Energy of Egypt, and Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy, President & CEO Elsewedy Electric, and was signed between Eng. Sabah Mashaly, Chairman of Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, & Mr. Ashraf Ahmed, Vice President, Elsewedy Electric.

This project is considered the biggest OPGW turnkey project under live line condition in the history of Egypt, with a total amount of about 1,500 KMs and builds on Egytech Cables’ regional control center projects in Upper Egypt, Middle Egypt, Canal Zone, and Cairo Zone.
