Elsewedy Cables Sets Foot in Spain

As Elsewedy Electric and its affiliates consolidate their global position as a credible and trusty brand name, Elsewedy Cables has signed two turn-key contracts worth USD 1.76m with Spanish Solaria Ingenieriay Construccion Fotovoltaica to supply and install high voltage cables and accessories for the connection of two photovoltaic solar plants in Palencia, Spain.

 

Expanding its presence in Europe, Elsewedy Electric will give a push to Spain’s efforts to leverage renewable energy as the world is mobilizing to turn the tide of climate change.

 

According to the first contract, Elsewedy Cables will supply and install 220kv cables and accessories for the connection of 190 mw Anisal photo-voltaic solar plant in Palencia in northern Spain. Meanwhile, the second contract implies supplying and installing of 66kv cables and accessories for the connection of Armus photovoltaic solar plant in the same city.

The contracts involve other partners including Emelec, Brugg, and Pfısterer, who would be supplying accessories and link boxes. The cables provided by Elsewedy Cables would be made in Egypt.
