With a lighting project, Elsewedy Electric solidifies its presence in the New Administrative Capital

Elsewedy Electric T&D has signed an EGP 443.4 M contract for a five-month project in the New Administrative Capital, the latest demonstration of interest of Elsewedy Electric and its affiliates in the development of the new megacity.

 

Under the contract, Elsewedy Electric will implement the lighting of the South Ben Zayed Road in the New Administrative Capital, starting from Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque to the Cathedral.

 

Meanwhile, the company will execute high-mast lighting for Road 11 with its intersection with the City of Arts and Culture and with the extension of North Ben Zayed Road. Elsewedy Electric and its affiliates are already working on several infrastructure projects in the New Administrative Capital with total investments of up to several billions.

 

Some of the projects were completed ahead of the plan, including the building a 500-kilovolt converter in the city.

Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy, President and CEO of Elsewedy Electric said: “The New Administrative Capital is the biggest development project in Egypt, and it has a great investment attractiveness.”

 

Elsewedy Electric interest in the New Administrative Capital goes beyond business opportunities as its education investment arm, Elsewedy Education, inaugurated the Knowledge Hub Universities in the city with investments up to EGP 7 million.

 

The Hub covers 50 feddans in the New Administrative Capital and has a capacity of 15,000 students.
