Elsewedy Electric to strengthen East Owenat grid with EPC addendum

Elsewedy Electric, has signed a new EGP 190 M addendum to an existing EPC contract to further support the electricity grid in East Owenat. Elsewedy Electric Trading and Distribution will build the internal electricity network (medium and low voltage) for an area of 20,000 new reclaimed feddans (2 plots Nos. 17 & 18) for the Middle Egypt Electricity Distribution Company in the East Owenat area in the New Valley Governorate.

The contract will be implemented over 3 months from the date of signing the contract or receiving advance payment on a turnkey basis.

In May 2020, Elsewedy Electric had been tasked to build the electrical network to cover the electricity needs of 50,000 feddans in East Owenat in a turnkey contract worth EGP 475 M. The new addendum would bring the total value of Elsewedy Electric's projects in the area to EGP 665 M.
