Elsewedy Electric T&D Awarded Eqtesadia 500 kV Overhead Transmission Line Project
Elsewedy Electric T&D has been awarded the Eqtesadia / S4 500 kV Overhead Transmission Line Project, marking another significant milestone in the company's growing portfolio of high-voltage transmission projects. Designed to facilitate the evacuation of wind-generated electricity, the project will strengthen transmission efficiency, improve grid reliability, and support the integration of renewable energy into the national grid, reinforcing Elsewedy Electric's role in advancing more sustainable and resilient power infrastructure.
The project involves the execution of 75.5 kilometers of 500 kV overhead transmission lines across Lots #3 and #4, utilizing quadruple bundle AAAC 506 mm² conductors to enable efficient high-voltage power transmission. The scope also includes the installation of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) and earth wires, enhancing the network's communication, monitoring, and operational capabilities while ensuring reliable system performance.
