AL AWEER 815 MW SCPP, UAE

Engineering, procurement, and construction of all mechanical, electrical, I&C, testing and commissioning, startup, and civil works, as well as any ancillary works required to complete the project on a turnkey basis.

The first fire of the second gas turbine, Unit 62 of AL AWEER 815 MW Power Station ‘H’ Phase IV for Dubai Electricity & Water Authority—DEWA.

This is indeed a significant milestone towards receiving the Takeover and Acceptance Certificate for the Three Gas Turbine Units. The project team has achieved this with over 10 million man-hours and zero LTI, demonstrating their commitment to the highest safety and quality standards.

Within the coming few weeks, the gas turbine that generates up to 271 megawatts of reliable power is expected to be connected to the national grid, distributing electricity to residential and commercial areas in Dubai.

As Dubai Electricity and Water Authority #DEWA aims to enhance its infrastructure and total production capacity to keep pace with the rapid development in the Emirate of Dubai and the growing demand of electricity, the engineering, procurement, and construction of AWEER H IV have been awarded to the Consortium for revving up the performance of the existing plant by adding an extension to its ‘H’ Station that will increase the station’s total capacity to 2,825 MW under climate conditions of up to 50 degrees Celsius.
